Reviewing for the Final Exam

The final exam is Friday, December 9, 8:00 - 11:00 a.m., in the usual room.

The test will cover material in Chapters 1 to 5.

For Chapters 1 to 4, you can use the review sheets for Tests 1, 2 and 3. However, in Chapter 1, omit truth tables; and in Chapter 2, omit union and intersection of a family of sets.

Chapter 5: You should be able to show sets are equivalent, finite, or denumerable by constructing appropriate bijections (secs. 5.1 - 5.3).

I suggest using Tests 1, 2, 3 and recent homework problems to review. On Test 1, omit problem 1. On Test 2, omit problems 3 and 4.

I will give you the sheet of definitions that you used on Test 3.
